Anyway, I thought I'd share a few highlights from the summer of '11. Enjoy!
June started off with a wonderful two-week vacation in Florida where we enjoyed the beach...
admired the palm trees.....
Stayed in several awesome hotels (Thanks to Hotels.com!)....
Took a gator-hunting ride on a fanboat through the Everglades....
(no gators seen on the boat, but.....
we did see this baby gator in the museum afterwards!)...
...took a ride on the Jungle Queen riverboat in Fort Lauderdale...
..and saw LOTS of millionaires homes! WOW.....
...played in the Florida Science center.. (that's me creating a cartoon!)
Cole got to ride in a space flight simulator...(I couldn't because of Tiny T!)....
...I got to pet a manatee at the Florida Marine Center...
....again, I need to say how wonderful the beach was.....
...and Baby T took his first plane round-trip plane ride!
Speaking of Baby T, this summer the little one got bigger...(below, we're at 29 weeks)...
and bigger.....(33 weeks)...
....and bigger! (38 weeks!)...
We also took the haunted "ghost tour" in Hannibal with my aunts who visited from D.C...
...and saw some awesome fireworks!
Sweet Pea's nursery is coming right along. In early July, I painted a tree on his wall that I thought would look good with his bedding. It turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself. I still have some work left to do, but it's pretty much ready for a baby now. Here are just a couple of sneak peeks.
Overall, we had a terrific (but F-A-S-T) summer. It's so hard to believe that Little Tippett could be here any day now. Now, we play the waiting game! I go back to school tomorrow, and we'll see how long I make it! It's all up to Sweet Pea now! :)
Glad you're back. It looks like a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteYou are simply too cute, I can't wait to meet Baby T, and I love that you and Cole were such kids at the science center! :) You're going to be GREAT parents--and I mean that with all sincerity. {hug}
ReplyDeleteI've wondered where you've been in blog world! Love the update...and Baby's room is absolutely darling!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to meet baby Tippett. The nursery is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, that wasn't a manatee, it was a stingray darling.
ReplyDeleteWhoops, yep. Don't know who you are, but you are correct. Yes, I meant stingray. My brain was elsewhere!
